I can’t believe I haven’t posted anything that we are doing since Parent Commitment. Lots of fun things are ahead and we have been working very hard to get them going. We also finished out another wonderful year of CDC (or mother’s day out program). We are gearing up to start our new curriculum for the summer in Promiseland as well. Its called “In the Beginning”. Its gonna be a fun summer in there. One big hint we will have a Funologist leading our Bible story time. So you can only imagine what kinda amazing things are going to happen with a name like that.

Our most recent event was our first ever Pajamamamarama! This was an overnight event for our mommies and their pre-k and kindergarten little girls. It was a pink and green kind of night. Lots of glitter, jewels, gems, feathers, and colorful fun PJ’s. And did I tell you that they were SUPER excited ALL NIGHT? Yes I heard squeals and screams that could have broken glass during some of the fun. Here are a few of the highlights below.

We dipped yummy things in the pink chocolate fountain, had fun jumping around in the bounce house. Also had fun on a flashlight walk in our church.. who knew some of those hallways could be so scary. As one of our girlys said ” That was FUN! I screamed the whole way!” ha ha ha! We also played musical dots…yes there really was a dot theme for the night, not sure everyone got it though.

And last but not least the FABULOUS Pajama Fashion Show with our color commentary from the wonderful Cindy.

I think that we have some super stars in the making here. After we finished vamping for our friends we snuggled down into our sleeping bags, grabbed the popcorn and watched Kit Kittredge. Then some went to sleep…and what a noisy sleep it was. (smile) who knew little girls could be SO noisy when they sleep? I think the majority of us adults didn’t get ANY sleep. We finished things off bright and early this AM with waffles and sausage. They were yummy. I decided I would be nice to my big an little friends and refrain from taking pictures. Some of us big people needed a REALLY large cup of coffee this morning to help us get going.

Thank you to Mrs. Susan and all her hard work helping get everything together and done. Andin to all the mommy’s and daughters for coming out and helping us make this event so fun. As we said last night we do these kinds of events to help families realize the importance of “date nights” with their little ones and to associate special memories in the place where they get to learn about God’s love for them every week. That God loves them and their laughter and joy as well as empathizes with thier tears and sorrow.
